We ended up here because it was close to our B&B. The building was absolutely adorable! After a long day, we decided to head upstairs to the main dining room instead of staying down in the bar. Lots of windows overlooking the area. Our server could be difficult to get the attention of, but once we had her attention, she was very nice. My friends both ordered the mussels, I ordered a special (pork, veggies, and potatoes). The mussels looked to be good, and my friends seemed to enjoy them. My dish was fine. Not extraordinary, but still pretty good, and the portion of pork was huge.
Overall, solid meal. Would probably go back to hang in the bar or on the patio if we were ever back in town.

Very busy restaurant, full of local people so must be popular, seating is a little cramped, feels more like a cafe.
Simple menu, portions are huge. No alcohol license.
We had a dark haired waiter who was very cheery and helpful, the other staff seemed very pleasant as well.

Chips were so hard, like they'd been cooked in the 2003 and left for consumption in 2018. Super greasy, covered in far too much salt and a bit of vinegar which I never asked for.
The macaroni isn't anything to shout about as again it was salty. A few years ago people would have said this was the best place to get macaroni cheese. Steak pie was OK - not alot of gravy and not rich in flavour. Baked potato also seemed like it had been sat around sadly waiting for its depature.

This is the first time eating here since restaurant was bought over.
Interior wise things haven’t changed too much but service was really slow and food wasn’t great.
Waited around 15 mins for someone to take order after being shown to table. Then waited an age for food to come to table.
Wouldn’t be rushing back I’m afraid.

We had dinner at the Castle Restaurant . Small place, feels more of the take away atmosphere than a real restaurant. Menu is full of classics like mac&cheese, fish&chips and Chili con carne. The food was okay, but nothing special - average. Cheap prices, so don't expect a lot
