I booked this after recommendations despite it being twice the price for others locally. Check in straight forward, room upgraded, due to Covid lots of things in place like only 1 in the elevator, sanitizer as needed. I could not fault the room. My issue was breakfast, a rather grumpy lady initially served me and was not at all clear about what was available.
Having paid £11 I was hoping for a hearty breakfast! Initially she offered a continental and cereal, it was not until I asked is that all that she offered other items. Eggs...I would have liked poached....Not available, fried or scrambled, sausage, beans etc...I queried GF bread and she wasn't sure...given it wasn't busy the service was certainly lacking. Later a young lady who was much more jolly arrived, I heard her offer pancakes and bacon the another table, I queried this and was advised that yes this is available, at no point was I offered this. Having finished breakfast, I mentioned this as I was leaving and was advised well maybe you can have it next time!
I know things are different due to Covid but in many places the service is actually better due to less guests and people now having the time to spend with guests and getting things right! Not in this case tho!More
