We were let down by the hotel we’d booked for the final night of our Scotland tour so had to find something in a rush, how fickle fate is!

Absolutely marvellous hotel, super friendly staff, beautiful grounds, superb food and dog friendly

Dinner was superb and relaxed

My only gripe, and I’m really splitting hairs here, is if I pay£55 for a bottle of wine I’d expect my glass to be refilled!

Would we stay there again, without a seconds hesitation- yes

The hotel itself is very lovely.
Detail in there service is lacking.
NO ONE to meet people at the door after the funeral or to direct people for a drink at the bar or to take first drink orders.
The buffet was lovely, and no shortage of food.
Not enough seating for people which family had to then go and find chairs. Staff there should already have been aware of that.
Attention to the details would make a better impression.

We LOVED the Loch Ness Country House Hotel. It is a former hunting lodge and before that a home on a beautiful piece of property. Our room was very comfortable (a real king bed). The chef was OUTSTANDING. We had scallops on the half shell one night. They had our new favorite whiskey – Balverdie 12, 18 and 21. I had the best eggs benedict I have had in years! These Texans will definitely go back.

We loved our stay at the Loch Ness Country House. We had an expansive and exceedingly comfortable room. The hotel management and employees could not have been more helpful. Also, we were unexpectedly surprised at the quality of our food in their restaurant. They have an excellent chef!

We stayed in the cottage in the back of the property. Despite the gorgeous grounds, our rooms were musty, the carpets were very worn and dingy, of course there wasn’t any air conditioning, and breakfast was minimal. One night we had to wait 15 minutes for anyone to show up at the front desk. We wish we had chosen a place in town.

Room tip: This hotel is a few miles out of Inverness, proper.
