Have wanted to try Nippon Kitchen for a while and wasn't disappointed. We had an early dinner and the lunch menu was still on. We mixed and matched between the different menus. My husband had the peanut chicken salad to start which was a very generous portion, and then the Chicken Teriyaki. My brother went for the lunch menu and had the vegetable skewers and the Katsu curry. I had the Chicken Bento Box which was fantastic. Miso soup followed by maki rolls and then the box itself which contained chicken gyoza, a chicken skewer, pickles, chicken teriyaki and rice.
Food was all lovely and service was good. Didn't feel rushed at all once we were finished eating. Very reasonable for a city centre restaurant and preferred it to the well known Japanese chain next door.
Only minor complaint was that the tables are very close together and despite it not being very busy everyone was seated in the same area. However, didn't spoil the experience.
