Have wanted to try Nippon Kitchen for a while and wasn't disappointed. We had an early dinner and the lunch menu was still on. We mixed and matched between the different menus. My husband had the peanut chicken salad to start which was a very generous portion, and then the Chicken Teriyaki. My brother went for the lunch menu and had the vegetable skewers and the Katsu curry. I had the Chicken Bento Box which was fantastic. Miso soup followed by maki rolls and then the box itself which contained chicken gyoza, a chicken skewer, pickles, chicken teriyaki and rice.
Food was all lovely and service was good. Didn't feel rushed at all once we were finished eating. Very reasonable for a city centre restaurant and preferred it to the well known Japanese chain next door.
Only minor complaint was that the tables are very close together and despite it not being very busy everyone was seated in the same area. However, didn't spoil the experience.

I am a BIG fan of japanese food. A big one. I've been to many japanese restaurants and most of the dishes I regularly cook at home are a japanese-mediterranean fusion. I thought I had tasted the real thing... until I visited this restaurant.

I really have no words, you just need to check it out and try it yourself. Prices are steep, but wow, are they worth it!

We have just spent 2 days visiting Glasgow from Aberdeen and this was the best food we had. Aberdeen has 2 "proper" Japanese restaurants but neither come close to this in terms of food quality, value for money or service. Places like this deserve to do well and I was glad to see it quite busy during a Tuesday lunch. We would love to come back next time for an evening meal!

This restaurant was delicious. We came in here after looking on tripadvisor and I was pleasantly surprised! We ate on a Saturday lunch time so there was very few people inside. The staff were very attentive and took the time to ask us about our stay in Glasgow and showed a real interest. I personally feel the food here is better value for money than visiting Wagamama's

Literally next door to Wagamama but so much better. Staff are fantastic, food is great and reasonably priced and you don't feel rushed out the door. Get the bento boxes, they are amazing value
