Satyed here for a couple of nights on a break with my wife. I had stayed previously in one of the executive rooms and enjoyed my stay. This time we opted for a standard room and were just as satisfied with the room we got. We did dine in the hotel on one of the nights and found the food to be reasonable but nothing special, however the satff in the restaurant are very freindly, in fact all the staff we encountered in the hotel where very helpful. I must say though, I do like the spacious bar area in the front of the hotel you can sit and watch the world go by outside. It location gives easy access to Buchanan street and all its shops bars and restaurants. I would recommend this hotel and will stay here again the next time i'm in Glasgow

Room Tip: If you can go for and exective room at the front of the hotel

Stayed at the Radisson for a weekend during Celtic Connections Festival and can honestly say it has become one of my favourite places to stay in Glasgow. Excellent friendly front of house staff, big spacious rooms with an Ipod docking station so we could listen to our own music :o). Proper wine glasses and otherwise superior tea/coffee making items certainly add to the nice touch - the same goes for the bathroom toiletries which were lovely quality. Loved the big fluffy towels and heated bathroom floor too. Excellent location in itself too as mentioned before - 2 mins from Central Station and a few more minutes to the main shopping areas of Buchanan St and Argylle Street

Stayed recently for a weekend break. The location, staff and breakfast were excellent however the rooms were basic. The bed was so uncomfortable that my husband and I couldn't sleep. Shame as everything else was lovely. Please get new mattresses!

Hi Kintail72,

Thanks for the review.

I'm sorry to hear that you found the beds uncomfortable. We do have different styles of mattresses on different floors so if you were to stay again please let us know your preference and we will do our best to facilitate that.

Kindest Regards,
Ross

What can I say? I like Radisson as a chain, and they have a good approach to customer service, and this one does not disappoint. It's clean, it's fresh, and it's really handy for Glasgow Central Station (as we found when the taxi driver drove us about 300 yards from getting in!).

Staff on the reception were friendly and welcoming and the business class rooms are modern, fresh and a nice quirky decor.

Breakfast was the only let-down. Ended up seated in the corner of the restaurant and got forgotten. Result: cold porridge more suited to wallpaper hanging after half an hour's wait. The kippers were good, though - not bright orange like most hotel kippers! At check out, we got a refund on the business class room upgrade in recognition of the poor breakfast experience. Just like I said at the start - they're a good chain for customer service.

And if you're looking to shop til you drop, this hotel is just about as handy as you could wish for a day's retail immersion!

Room Tip: Upgrade to a business class room and you get free use of a Nespresso coffee machine.

My wife & I booked this hotel overnight as a weekend treat but were extremely disappointed. Our first impressions were of slow service as there was only one receptionist and lots of people booking in. Being a frequent hotel user, the room we were allocated could, at best, be described as low budget. It was obviously designed with a single business traveller in mind & whilst it was relatively clean & functional it did not lend itself, in any way, to a relaxing environment. This hotel was not 5 star & I would not stay there again.

Room Tip: Go to Blythswood Square Hotel for 5 star service
