Wow! what a great find! LOVE this hotel.
The rooms are small but fun. The bed took up half the room and we called it the playpen.
The environment/entertainment controls are really neat.
The bathroom is tiny but the shower is awesome.
The windows don't open at all so there's no fresh air but the environmental controls work really well.
Could have used a bit more hanger space but it's more of a functional space for sleeping than hanging out in. they have the lobby "Living room" for the hanging out part. Which is awesome i might add.
the only problem we had was check in. i was tired and grumpy from travelling and could not figure out how to make the self check work. it took a couple of tries to find my reservation, a couple of tries to figure out how to make my room key. there was one attendant running from terminal to terminal trying to help everyone. Really, sometimes i just want someone to hand me a key and tell me where my room is. When i said how frustrated i was to the attendant she started to argue with me, and tell me how much better the self check system was. And did that make me feel less cranky and more welcome? nope.
So study up on how to self check in and all will be well, as long as the reservation pops up right away.
other than that, loved loved loved it.

The CitizenM is a great choice if you are looking for somewhere modern with lots of quirky features. I would definitely recommend this to both couples and friends.

The only reason i have marked this hotel down is due to the space. The rooms are ''pod'' style and i found it slightly difficult to get ready for a wedding in the small space available.

The rooms are very hi-tech and well designed - especially for the price you pay, brilliant value for money! Blinds and lighting are operated with a remote control which has different settings and moods to choose from. Although i don't usually bother with a TV usually in hotels i would definitely say this is a brilliant feature. LOADS of new release movies for free which you rarely get with hotels.

I find it rare to find a hotel that actually makes me want to stay in it instead of head out. It really does have so many little details and surprises that make this a must for staying in Glasgow. The staff are obviously trained well and to a high standard, which didn't slip at all during my stay.

Rooms are only available for 2 people and i feel if they catered to bigger groups with larger rooms this hotel would be even more of a hit. Definite 9/10 for me...if you aren't fussy about space then book up!!

TIP : The bathroom is more of pod within your room. Don't book the room to stay with someone if you are shy. The material is frosted however you can most definitely get a view into the shower!!

This hotel screams modern and funky. It was clean and very modern. Not your typical hotel in any sense of the word. It's a good location as well. The staff was friendly. This hotel seems more geared to a younger crowd or those much more technology savvy. The only down side is the rooms are very small....very! It's a tight fit for 2 people. Aside from that it's a fun hotel for a night or two...may be too small to stay any lengthy amount of time.

We decided to spend a night in Glasgow and take in a show. Citizen M rates very highly in listings and I booked it because I was intrigued by what this new place with it's quirky humorous website could offer. It is well positioned for theatres and cinemas and shops. The room is not huge and of course I settled down with the remote control working out what was what. The room has little space for lounging, but this is what the varied and comfortable lounge space is for. My wife and I found a corner to sit and watch the world go bye outside. The canteen M service was great and we both had a great nights sleep in the amazingly big bed. Top that off with a refreshing shower and great breakfast and we both emerged into the city feeling great. It's not like any other hotel I have stayed in and we would go back.

In November, we spent 2 nights @CitizenM, Glasgow. The rooms were tiny but superefficiënt and clean. Breakfast was lovely in a modern bar. The moodlights in the showercabin was awesome :D
Glasgow is ok for a short trip, there are some good shops and nice bars but it's also rainy and a bit poor
