Good food at very affordable prices. Had the pakora, chicken between the sheets and the baileys cheesecake! (Hefty) the portions are great and very tasty. Doesn't pretend to be something it's not

First visit to this small restaurant for Sunday lunch. Warm welcome and able to pick a table as it was quite quiet.

The menu lists a good selection of regular family favourite dishes and home cooked specials.

My Cullen Skink starter was very good, full of flavour and piping hot.

The Sunday Roast Beef was great, a generous portion of beef and all the trimmings and my Steak Pie was also very good.

Staff were welcoming and attentive, in the small local restaurant .

Good home cooked food at reasonable prices, well worth a visit.

I went here for the first time a few weeks ago and based on how good it was I wanted to bring my family out for lunch. The food was as good as it was last time but the service was a let down. No real attentiveness as I had to ask for everything. I wouldn't rush back.

Hi Cameron it is a pity you did not say when you visited the restaurant as we have had a couple of new starts that said there is no excuse for lack of attentiveness to our customers .I will share your comments with those concerned and hopefully if you do return you will notice a difference .Glad you enjoyed the food.

Situated in a small extension to the historic pub, Jamiesons restaurant is ideal for a quick meal. The menu has sufficient choice to meet most demands and offers pensioner meals at reduced prices. Quality was good but perhaps a choice of potatoes to accompany the steak pie, rather than chips, could be offered.
