Having heard great reviews thought we would give it a try. Ordered two haddock and chips which duly arrived, Not a particularly large piece of haddock which I thought strange as they offer a half portion (must be tiny) Batter quite greasy and soggy, uniform size fillet, frozen ?? Chips were like re heats, small and crunchy and lacking any real potato. Service was okay and coffee fabulous.

What a great place we visited on a Wednesday night and the place was very busy and I can see why

Food was first class and excellent value for money everything was home made and so tasty.

Coffee was also very nice with a big bit of tablet (thumbs up)

Staff where all very nice.

Don't know Falkirk well but having noticed some "Ladies who lunch" going in here decided to try it.
Lovely modern decor and quite busy so got a table upstairs. Looked at the lunch menu and as I didn't have a lot of time only chose to order a main course of haddock and chips. Option was normal size portion or smaller portion so I chose the normal one at £10.95.
The fish was fine although not very big so I don't know how small the smaller version would be. The fries with skin on were very thin and rather too well done so there was no potato in them.
Overall not as good as anticipated. Perhaps they were having an off day judging by the good reviews.

Had been here once before with a friend, enjoyed it so wanted to go back. There's a bottle of water put on your table when you arrive with water glasses already there. A small touch but much appreciated. Food is tasty, good portions and beautifully presented. We've eaten in Michelin starred restaurants all over the UK and appreciate value for money. We definitely get value for money here, just under £60 for two three course meals from their main menu and a soft drink each. There was an offer on for two courses for £8.99 but we chose from the other menu. Pork Souvlaki, had never had a souvlaki before but it was so nice, really good flavour, this was after a goats cheese and pickled peach salad which was gorgeous, and followed by a flour free chocolate 'dream cake'. Lovely. It's added to my list of go-to places when I don't want to cook.
