We enjoyed our stay at this friendly hotel. Rooms are comfortable and clean. Breakfast is freshly cooked with and served to the table apart from juices and cereals which are served buffet style. There is a continental breakfast option from the buffet. We had one evening meal which we enjoyed. On offer was the usual fare that I would expect in a 3 star hotel. Steak pie, fish and chips, pasta, curry and vegetarian options. £12 for three courses is good value, in my opinion. The bar and lounge area is nice and being adjacent to the restaurant allows for a relaxing drink, either before or after dinner. We had a mostly positive experience but there was one thing that irritated me that I will share as a warning to others; We had a room on the first floor above the entrance and the noise from the people enjoying a late night cigarette and blether in the smoking area below kept me awake. Avoid rooms above the smokers' area. You have been warned!
