Really nice clean rooms recently modernized you can smell the new carpets. Friendly staff. all though had to wait a long time for evening meal ,we sat down at 5.45pm and didn't get finshed till after 7.30. But the food was well presented and really good. Breakfast was brilliantly organized and really great selection. Would go again. Well done.

Nice and clean though extremely dated and shabby . Staff were lovely although not many of them . Food was really good especially the Evening meal with a choice of menu . I would visit again but only for a short stay .

Room Tip: Lower floor recommended as no lifts to upper floors .

A visit with National Holiday to attend the Edinburgh tattoo, a varied choice of evening meal, but was well cooked and quickly served.
Room was clean and tidy.
Breakfast was a little disappointing having only small plates and no staff to ask.

We booked in easily and were shown to the new rooms which are beautiful. Very boutique. Great bathroom with huge shower, two single beds with crisp cotton bedding. Stylish wall covering and carpets, beds very comfortable great pillows.
Breakfast was full Scottish, I asked for fried eggs and they were perfect. Lots of juice and cereals. Nothing was a bother. Lovely staff.
They catered for over 20 of us for a birthday lunch for my son. We had six kids with us and we never felt rushed through the whole meal. Very patient. Food was delicious and lots of it. Well presented and a great selection to suit our varied tastes. One of our party brought his own meal due to severe allergies and he was not made to feel any different from the rest of us. The Price was very competitive and we will come back.

Room Tip: Ground floor suited us and after breakfast you can walk in the local estate.

We had an overnight stay, in this clean and comfortable hotel, which is situated in a residential area. There is a supermarket (Lidl) facing the hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful. We had booked a double room and got a big room with 2 double beds and 2 TVs. Evening meal menu was OK, with a self-service breakfast buffet served from 7am to 10am. The local wildlife visited the area at the back of the hotel at night - a fox at about 01am.

Room Tip: Not much to view from any angle.
