“Not bad but a bit expensive”
Reviewed 20 February 2012

We visited for lunch - bar pretty busy but a nice cosy atmosphere. Food choice limited and we waited quite a long time for our meal which was nice but nothing exceptional. Cost high for what we had (fish and chips £8.95 and chicken and bacon sandwich at £7.95). Drinks were also expensive at £4 for a small glass of wine....

“Relaxed good quality wine bar with no riff raff!”
Reviewed 19 February 2012

I would clasify this as a good quality wine bar. The staff are friendly and attentive. The food is just as good at lunch time as it is in the evening and reasonably priced too. On Sunday they have a live band, Scarlet, that generally sing cover songs very, very, well.
It is particularly good for people watching on a Friday night after work. Tends to attract alot of city type thirty somethings but ages do range from mid twenties to late forties, always a nice crowd.

“Outstanding.... Prepare to be stunned by a mere Parsnip!”
Reviewed 29 January 2012

Fantastic. A wonderful atmosphere, even at 5pm on a rainy weekday in January. Great service, and a menu that is small but varied. Ordered the open 'fishfinger sandwich'... Completely unprepared for the joy of what was to come! The fish goujons were beautiful and the parsnip fries... incredible. Lovely wine, and certainly good value for money. Can't wait to go again.

“Great food and lovely atmosphere”
Reviewed 22 January 2012

I went here with another couple. None of us had eaten here before, we all thoroughly enjoyed out meals. The Halibut was exceptionally good, although portions are a little small, so would recommend a starter to share(nachos)

Very nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Would certainly go again
