The next time you are in Edinburgh – at the east end of Princes Street / opposite the St James Centre, treat yourself, friends, family, whatever by visiting Barish where you will enjoy an excellent Breakfast, Lunch or Coffee.
To best describe the layout of the “Cafe” I suggest that you look at the TripAdvisor photographs of this excellent Eatery. This smashing wee place is more than a “Cafe” however in Scotland I find difficulty in describing it as a “Bistro”. It is a great meeting place.
The Staff and Proprietor, Attila made us feel very welcome on our arrival.
Barish has a very flexible layout to accommodate any number of customer’s and a pleasant environment with interesting decoration complete with Scottish murals. The overall effect gives a warm, friendly feeling and is only the beginning of a great experience.
All the food is made on the premises, using local and fresh produce. The menu has a broad spectrum of food from a breakfast fry up, burgers, pizza, fish and chips, and scampi to a few specialities of grilled chicken shish from Turkey and spaghetti carbonara from Italy – all at a very economical price.
The plates of food were well prepared, looked good and tasted excellent.
The coffees were made to individual tastes and were presented in lovely, large cups.
As per my other reviews, I really only write about good experiences and Barish is another little gem that I have found and plan to visit more regularly.
