Small cafe/takeaway clearly set out for individuals/pairings with only about half a dozen tables each with a couple of chairs. Fairly limited menu but an oasis one sunday morning as a group of 8 wanted a breakfast following a trip to Stockbridge market situated just up the road.
We virtually took over the entire place and the sole person behind the counter couldn't do enough to help us settle in, moving tables and chairs to ensure the whole party could sit in one group. Our order was taken and the drinks were served very quickly helping to heat us up nicely.
Everyone settled on the breakfast pannini which thanks to additional staff suddenly appearing to help out, were all served together and were piping hot. Absolutely brilliant for a particularly cold and brisk Scottish morning filling the empty tummies and setting us up for the day.
This was all done whilst customers were coming in to the shop and being served efficiently by staff who, despite not being Scottish, were displaying the true Scottish hospitality and banter.
A real gem of a cafe which I hope to visit again when back in Scotland's capital. If the owner reads this, thanks for a great product and excellent service.
