Used the Hilton as they had a good deal on, good value for what we paid, breakfast was really good, could not fault the staff really friendly whereever you went in the hotel they were so well mannered and could not do enough for you. Only downside was a little too far from the theatre where we were going for the night! but well done Hilton!

Room Tip: ask for a upgrade, they told us where possible they would-but you have to ask!

the hotel was very comfortable and in a great location next to Haymarket Station and only a 10 minutes walk to the West End where there are a number of bars and restuarants for a good night out. On arriving at the hotel we were early and they were helpful in keeping out luggage for us to allow us to do some shopping. On arriving at the hotel we did notice that it seemed to be on both sides of the street which did confuse us as we were not sure on which reception to check in at. Unfortunetly we were on the side wrong side of the street as we had to walk over the road to go to the bar and resturant but thankfully it was dry outside so we never got soaked so just beware. The room was clean and pleasant although i found it small and there was no drawer space for putting clothes away. I would stay again but would request the other side of the street so as not to go outside.

Room Tip: ensure your on the side of the street where the facilities are.

Thank you for reviewing our hotel.

The hotel is housed over two separate buildings; the main hotel and the newly refurbished Townhouse annexe, guest are welcome to check-in, in either of the buildings. Guests in the Townhouse building can enjoy a Continental breakfast and we do offer 24 hour room service. All rooms in the hotel vary in size due to the nature of the building, rooms are all unique in their own style, but are all of Hilton standard.

I am glad overall that you enjoyed your stay with us and delighted that you would stay again.

Thank you.

Was at this hotel for 3 nights with work. Rooms nice, although mine was a very small double compared to my colleagues' rooms. Breakfasts very nice, as were lunches. My room was at the front of the building which was a bit noisy due to traffic, esp buses until late. No gym in this hotel but you can use neighbouring Hilton gym for a charge. No hotel car park. No issues at check-in or check out, very swift. I'd definitely stay again but would ask for a larger room next time.

Room Tip: Ask for a room away from the front of the hotel

Thank you for your review.

I was delighted to read that you enjoyed your stay. I am sorry if you felt your room was on the small side, rooms in the hotel do vary in size due to the building originally being townhouses when built in the 1860’s. I am sorry for the inconvenience due to traffic noise, this is due to the Tram works taking place in this part of town, unfortunately traffic is currently being diverted along our normally quiet street, we are currently upgrading all windows in the hotel from single to double glazing and once complete this will give better sound proofing for our guest.

Thank you.

Checked in to the hotel for the weekend of the Scotland v England 2012 Six Nations match. Hotel is well positioned in the centre of town but if you want to be by the Royal Mile/Castle there are closer hotels. The staff were polite and helpful and overall the service was good. The room (132, first floor at the front) was large and adequate but some of the equipment (TV remote and the kettle were in need of replacement). Further, the noise from the evening event downstairs could be heard in the room, although proceedings ended early, and the room was directly opposite the service lift which sprang in to action fairly early in the morning. The overhead lighting in the bathroom was fine but there was no light over either the mirror in the bathroom or the mirror in the bedroom and the overhead lights in both rooms served merely to cast shadows over the mirrored areas. Overall, a pleasant enough stay but highly questionable that it represented value for money as, due to the rugby, prices had clearly been significantly hiked up for that weekend.

I was delighted to read your kind comments regarding our team members.

The hotel always has a wonderful atmosphere during the rugby weekends, guest attending these weekends have a wonderful time.

I have taken onboard your comments regarding the room and items needing replacing, all items in room were in a very good condition, at Hilton we check all our electrical items on a regular basis.

I am glad overall you enjoyed your stay with us and hopefully we will get the chance to welcome you back in the future.

Our holiday to Edinburgh was very good and this hotel was very nice, made the trip nicer. Edinburgh is a lovely place but can be very tiring for a tourist especially when one has only 2 days. But I loved this hotel. Nice rooms well done up, good bathrooms (very important for lady travelers) A bit pricey but then this is a major city and you would expect to pay more. Surely a visit again here if my travels bring me back to this charming city.
