Great check in. Left bags while we went into town for lunch.
Room on the small side but neat and clean.
Our room looked over The Tron pub so a bit noisy as we had to open the window as room was warm.
Breakfast included in our £130 room rate. It was delicious loads of choice of full English and continental. Again staff very helpful and friendly
Great stay and would recommend the hotel to other travellers.

The location is perfect and the staff are very friendly. The room is reasonable in all aspects, except that there is no air conditioning or on-demand climate control. The room was hot and stuffy in the middle of October. There is no way to even turn on the fan for fresh air without also turning on the heat. It was difficult to sleep as a result. We kept the window open for fresh air, but then it was too noisy outside. The staff provided a small plug-in fan, which helped some.

Also, there are no phones in the room, contrary to the posted sign in the picture below. You have to use WhatsApp, but even after waiting 15 minutes for a reply, the staff never responded. I had to walk down to the lobby. They were helpful in person though.

Sorry to hear you found it stuffy in the rooms, we are truly not used to heat in Scotland and weren't prepared for warmer days, but we are working on it,

whats app business its a relatively new thing, we are still finding our way around it, sorry about that!

This hotel is very well situated on the Royal Mile, about midway. Our room was very clean and modern. Honesty though, it is small, which doesn't bother us. There was an issue with our shower leaking onto the bathroom floor and it was fixed the same day we reported it to the front staff. The hotel was quiet at night even though it's in a popular nightlife area. There are lots of restaurants close by although there are better restaurants over on George Street, and it's easy to book tours and shop for goods in this area.

The hotel is in a perfect location near the Royal Mile. The staff were very nice about keeping our luggage as we had a early flight arrival so that we could go walk around. They gave us a early room when it was ready. We have stayed at many Ibis hotels throughout Europe and they are a little small but always clean and a great breakfast with wonderful helpful staff. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

We were checked into the hotel by a member of staff who was friendly, informative and professional. The hotel room and en suite were clean and warm. There was a hairdryer in the room and an iron and ironing board were provided by reception on request. It would be helpful to have more storage space in the room such as some drawers or extra hangers but two of us managed for four nights without any real difficulty.I had requested a room with a view because we were staying in Edinburgh to celebrate a 40th birthday and the hotel both fulfilled this request and provided a tray of Scottish treats as a birthday gift, which was much appreciated. We did not eat at the hotel but we did use the bar and found this a comfortable place to sit with good wine. All of the staff we spoke to during our stay were helpful and polite. The best thing about this hotel is its location. It is on Hunter Square but less than a two minute walk from the Royal Mile, meaning that we had easy access to all of the main attractions as well as some great restaurants and pubs. The location did mean that there was some street noise in the room but it did not disrupt our sleep. This is the second time I have stayed in this hotel (I previously stayed in 2015) and it will continue to be my first choice if I return to Edinburgh.
