We visit Edinburgh every two years as a family. This year we had two extra people travelling with us and so needed a place to fit 6 people. We were not disappointed. The location is amazing with fabulous view of Arthur's seat from the windows. The views are so good as it is up a LOT of stairs. I was 8 months pregnant at the time but the stairs weren't too much hard work. Parking can be a bit hard to find on the street, but what do you expect for the middle of Edinburgh. We parked up and didn't move the car for the whole duration of our stay. Make sure you are good at parallel parking as one side of the road is up against a big wall and I can imagine that some drivers would have a huge struggle. However, both our drivers parked up with no issues and the vehicles were in prefect condition when we returned to them 2 days later. Apartment was clean and we had a great welcome. Only issue we had was that we only had 2 keys yet had 3 couples staying. It was a bit of a jugglig act making sure that the right people had the key. 3 keys would have been much easier.
The cost was very reasonable when split between 3 couples. Far cheaper than trying to get everyone in a hotel. Also saves money having a kitchen to eat breakfast before leaving and make butties before your day out. I would definitely consider staying here again in 2019 when we visit Edinburgh again.
Beautiful views from most of the rooms, it is peaceful enough to make you feel like you in the country when in fact you are a stone throw away from some major attractions in Edinburgh
There were a few issues with fixtures and appliances, inconveniences which did not diminish the enjoyment of our stay. My only recommendation would be that the owner leave some instructions for the guests.
With a well placed property like this one you can't go wrong.
