We came here for late lunch/ early dinner after I got married and we had our parents with us. The service was great, the food was excellent and the price was amazing for what it was! Also impressed as my mum is a vegetarian and she had multiple, great options which is rare! We were alone in the restaurant for most of the time and it was very relaxing, but the staff remained professional and friendly! :)

We visited the restaurant after celebrating our Anvil Blessing at the Gretna Green Blacksmiths Shop.
The staff were very helpful and friendly and the food was excellent.
Would definitely visit again if in the area again.

Stopped by here after being directed by the nearby blacksmith’s attraction. We received the blacksmith blessing here in 1993, when it was called the Blacksmiths (now renamed and confusion as name now refers to attraction next door). Staff were very helpful in allowing us access to the anvil without booking and allowing us to take a few photos.

The room was very pleasant and clean. The bed was comfortable and the room and bathroom was very modern.
However all went down his when we went for breakfast. It wasn’t busy in the slightest - it took 6 mins before we were even approached to be seated. It was then a further 5 mins before we got given a menu or asked if we wanted a coffee. We then waited 10mins for coffee to arrive and a further 10 mins before we were asked what we would like for breakfast. People who came in after us were being served before us. It was like we got plonked in the corner and forgotten about. Toast arrived cold before our Scottish breakfast... the beans were cold!
Over all I was really disappointed.
