The position of this b & b was excellent - out of the front door, across the garden, down the path straight on to the beach. Susan, the owner was extremely welcoming, couldn't do enough for you. The breakfast was really good. She was able to answer any questions you asked about the area etc.

Room Tip: rooms on the front overlook the sea

Clean comfortable room with friendly hosts who supplied a good freshly cooked breakfast. Summer house is a great idea to sit relax and watch the sea leaping against the beach. Great stay and hope to return again soon

We stayed here very recently and were extremely impressed.
We had read the reviews before going and weren't disappointed.
We didn't stay in the actual B&B but in the available self catering mobile home in the back garden.
It didn't take away from the lovely welcome from Susan and George. They are lovely hosts who will ensure you are happy.
The village is really quiet and peaceful.
Overlooking the firth is a summer house owned by the b&b and although the weather was,t perfect it was still nice and warm inside it.
If you are looking for a genuinely quiet getaway this place is recommended because after a walk on the beach and a few pints in the pub, about 1 minute walk from the house, there's not much else to do.

Had two days at the old shop and we found everything spot on for us The owners are really nice people and down to earth. The property fronts straight onto the beach of the Solway firth with great frontal views and majestic hills to the rear . Order your breakfast the night before and what time you want it and its there. Two minutes walk down the road brings you to the local pub where you can eat from 5.30 to 8.00 but book a table as it gets very busy,

Room Tip: grond floor room gives access to rear garden

This place is a hidden gem. It is located on the banks of the Solway firth. We saw porpoise swimming around. The B&B have a garden across the road with a building in which you can sit and look out over the water. The room we had was clean and had tea/coffee making, en suite, tv and a door which opened into a walled garden. The breakfast was freshly cooked to order. The hosts are friendly and chatty and make you feel welcome. For evening meals there is a pub a couple of minutes walk up the road. It was so good we have booked to return next year.
