This hotel is very central to the Diamond and all attractions. The foyer is very comfortable and has a lot of couches to relax on. The room was very good -; everything you need in a hotel room- all very clean. The views from the room was spectacular as the hotel is right beside the walls. The carpark is small but I got to park there without any trouble. There is a lift directly up to reception. The staff are very friendly and happy to help. The bar is a good place to meet and have a drink- with great music. I will definitely be returning.

Excellent location and excellent food... the staff were very courteous and helpful (especially Jason, our cheerful and efficient server!) The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the views are really quite beautiful as well!

The location is perfect, very central, although don’t bring your car you’ll have a job parking there. Weather was atrocious and had to park up the road. Couldn’t pay for parking as it was a bank holiday, expected to walk up in morning before 0830 and put coins in. Not the most logical when children in tow.
That was the least of my worries. Woke up at least 3 times a night with someone’s toilet or shower. Plumbing atrocious actual walls vibrated. From approx 0630am constant hum and vibration. Forget about a lie in

My wife and I stayed in the Maldron hotel last weekend 30th March to Sunday 1st April. The hotel is brilliantly positioned just inside the City walls. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was well appointed, warm and comfortable. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was great. We had bed and breakfast with a main course meal in our deal. The evening meal was really good. We were surprised there was no live music on the Friday night but Saturday night had and though it finished reasonably early it was good. The breakfast wasn't that great. All self service which means the cooked food can be sitting for a while. The eggs were then a little chewy as a result of being sat under the heat. The bacon was quite greasy. Again the staff were very helpful and speedy with the tea and coffee.
My big issue with the hotel is the car park. As many have said it's very small with possibly accommodation for 20ish cars. The hotel direct you to a "near by carpark" which is about a five minute walk.. there is on street parking available also but I certainly wouldn't feel happy parking my car there overnight. I would hate to have to go to the car park if there was torrential rain!!. This hotel is ideal for bus trips leaving you outside the front door. I've stayed in almost every Maldron hotel in Ireland and this hotel for comfort is up there but I've not come across a hotel with such a small car park.. it is definately not 4 star standard.
