Visited during visit to Belfast. Added to our plan at the very end but it's worth it. Almost within Belfast. Good place for some nice photography.

Although its an ancient monument the car park of this place is more famous than the monument itself. Its notorious with dogging and cruising and is best avoided at night as its very secluded. The standing stones are at the centre of a huge earth ring which is set in some lovely arable countryside and walking around here can be very pleasant on a summers day.

It is a huge area..... with earthworks all round. Great for photos just check on google. You can walk round the top of the earthworks and get a wonderful view of the countryside. I have been here several times and have never seen any 'outside activity'. I would say it is well worth a visit especially on a misty cold morning as there is a very magical ethereal quality to the place. The stones look very small when viewed from top of the earthworks but are as impressive as any in Ireland... It leaves me with a sense of wonder and awe as to whats its purpose was as it obviously took many hours of working by hand to construct. If you have an interest in stone circles and prehistory you will not be disappointed

This is an amazing ancient site about an hour walk from Belfast city center. The walk out is wonderful and the setting is amazing. The site has an ancient energy and a quiet majesty. There is a nice view of the surrounding countryside and the site is virtually deserted. There is a dolmen and a tree of life! I agree with a few other reviews that the signage could be better, but overall it's a gorgeous site.

Theres not much here to be honest, and its not very well sign posted. I have read unfortunately people are using this place for dogging. Would I recommend this place .............no just go on Internet and read about it there, really not much to see here either. People walking their dogs, but not very impressed with the place.
