Description: Villa Italia is a family run pizzeria restaurant established in 1988 in the heart of South Belfast, just a stones throw from Queen's University. A listed Georgian building, its success as one of Belfast's most popular eateries with over 300 seats continues to grow and is obvious by the queues which form on a regular basis outside the door every weekend - rain, hail or snow! Inside you can enjoy the rustic Italian charm of our interiors; picturesque murals, terracotta tiles, hanging grapevines, the subtle smell of garlic in the air and with Italian speaking waiters amongst our staff, one cannot help but feel transported to La Bella Italia itself!

We visited this restaurant on Wednesday the 3rd and it was a good experience. Don't let the queue frighten you because even though they were quite busy we were seated swiftly. The food was delicious and it can't be faulted for price.

Very fast service and good food as well. Ordered pizzas and they were very good. Kids menu - lasagne - no fault with choice of drinks including milkshakes!

While I am not strictly vegetarian I prefer vegetarian food when I eat out. Tonight on the menu there was a single vegetarian choice which I could have made easily at home. We were a party of 6 and the others seemed happy enough. But it was very disappointing to have such a limited choice particularly when I didn't want pizza. So won't be returning any time soon but given the numbers queuing the restaurant won't notice. So why is it so popular? It certainly isn't the food.

On our first night in Belfast we arrived in late and we wanted to have something nice for dinner. While staying in the international youth hostel we decided to stay close by and so we found this restaurant. The restaurant had a lovely atmosphere and friendly waiters. We had the penne marcantonio and the biancaneve pizza. Both of these dishes were so delicious and I would recommend them. Also with the meal we had a pinot grigio which was also nice. Other restaurants in the area were quite expensive so this was a great place to find with good food and a medium price.

Went here whilst on a quick visit to Belfast. Very busy when we arrived but we got a table quick enough and didn't have to wait an age. The food is about same sort of price you'd pay in London so not in keeping with rest of food places we ate in belfast but we wanted a nice Italian meal. The house red wine was nice and the food was tasty. I had the spaghetti carbonara which wasn't the best I've tasted but it was nice all the same. Would visit this place again.
