Excellent tour but make sure you see both halves. Have read some reviews stating that one side or other of this tour was delivered badly and inconsiderately. This was not our experience at all, at least, not with the guides we had. One was an ex-IRA prisoner, the other an ex-soldier of the British Army. In our experience, both tour guides were elegant and educated in their delivery, and took a mature view of a bloody, terrible conflict that claimed the lives of so many innocent people. However, we were left with the feeling that it may take a lot longer for the wounds to heal and for the two communities to integrate better than the media would have us believe! Even by reading some of the very few, very negative reviews of this tour would seem to substantiate the fact that there are still many people not prepared to reconcile, and without reconciliation, there is no future and the divisions will, sadly, remain.

We loved this , you spend 1.5 hours with each side of the conflict ( catholic’s and Protestants ) . You get to hear both sides stories and struggles through the troubles over the 30 years . Really educating and came away thoroughly amazed ( and saddened ) on what has happened for this constant struggle for peace

Fantastic tour, would recommend to anyone who is interested in this sad part of history. Peadar our guide on the Falls road shared an especially touching account from his experience as an IRA political prisoner. Crazy how haunting and still current all felt!

Thumbs up for this tour and to both guides Jack and Mark. Found the tour to be informative and compelling. If nothing else it reminds one, how easy it is for others to forget what the people of West Belfast, on either side of the divide have been subjected to in the past. The past is the past and will always be there. I can but hope that going forward both communities live to see a more inclusive society.

This tour was fantastic - both guides gave a real insight into the Troubles and how thats affected life today in Belfast. They both generously shared their personal stories and experiences that brought it all to life. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to understand the history of Northern Ireland, and what the future may hold!
