Really interesting, learnt a lot of new things about the troubles. It was good to get a perspective from both sides. It shows how much progress has been made when the 2 guides shook hands when going from the Falls Road to the Shankhill. Totally recommended this tour.

Really glad we done this , yes three hours is a long time in the cold but without walking the streets you will not get the same impact . I thought the first half , the Republican side, was the more balanced and gave an excellent historical perspective but you can see the impact and hurt in both sides .

An interesting afternoon spent in the company of Robert who had served 12 years of a 20 year sentence for being an active member of the IRA and Mark who had served in the Army and was stationed within his own community. Both men spoke eloquently and passionately about their respective communities and it's clear they have worked hard to move Northern Ireland forward but also explained this will not be at the expense of their respective communities.
It was an excellent afternoon and I learnt a lot but was disappointed that Robert did not mention Mo Mowlems involvement in the peace progress. I felt Mark was more open in his dialogue and general discussion about the troubles.
As a regular visitor to the West of Ireland to see family I have always been fascinated by Northern Ireland and today's tour provided me with a greater understanding of the issues.
Well done to both guides and I can throughly recommend this tour, although I would advise you wrap up warmly

Gave us a really good insight into the historical background of 'the troubles' from two very different perspectives. A must if you're at all interested in Belfast's modern history.

1 of the reasons to visit Belfast was to learn more about the past years of conflict. We visited, the Peace Wall, International Wall & locals who were willing to share their experiences.
