Tour was about an hour too long
Both guides kept repeating information and opinions
Could have been reduced by 30 mins each
I very much enjoyed the candid conversations of the troubles from both sides. Very informative, I learned so much.
Thank you
A great tour well worth the investment of time and money. Our group of five started in Dublin riding in a van to Belfast. The tour owner provided an interesting history of Ireland to prepare us for the tour in Belfast and its history of the "Troubles". It was an enjoyable ride getting see some of the beautiful countrysides and places in Irish history. We stopped to tour a small boarder town before entering Northern Ireland learning some of its history. Once in Belfast we had time to see sights downtown but the highlight of the tour was walking the streets of Belfast now famous for the battles between the Unionist and the Nationalists. We toured both sides of the divide with men who fought in the battles from both sides. The different perspectives were eye opening as both had convictions that they were right. Whether you are a history buff or just want to learn more about the conflicts in Ireland this tour gives you first hand insights and is a great way to spend the day. As an American it makes me appreciate what I have and gives me greater respect for others in the world who have had to struggle so hard to get freedom and peace.
This is a well conducted and professional tour that offers powerful and moving insights into the tragedy of Northern Ireland’s past and it’s possible, yet still precarious future. Our guides were Paul, the IRA man and Nationalist, and Mark, the Unionist and Protestant, British to his bootstraps. They were frank and open, each with their extraordinarily different perspectives. Yet, they have much in common, perhaps more than they realize. For one thing, together they provided us with probably one of the most, powerful, interesting and moving tours I’ve ever done. Thank you gentlemen.
Walking tour with Paul guide #1 to itroduce us to the Troubles and his first hand experience. Very emotional times but described well with unbiased candor and real life experience. One of the best walking tours we have experienced to date. Opposing Views of the political conflict from both sides. Fragile and healing.
Thank you gentleman for an enlightening afternoon.
