We visited the museum in the afternoon and enjoyed leisurely walking around the exhibits.

It was warm and clean and was not too busy so we were able to enjoy it at our own pace without feeling rushed.

I would recommend popping in if you are in Cardiff and have a couple of hours.

We tend to go once a year to this museum and I have to say it's never boring and free is always a good start! My 10 and 12yr old thoroughly enjoyed it all. Love travelling through time from the big bang to today. And it's amazing how interesting rocks can be! Exhibits really well thought out and considering how many visitors and the age of the exhibitions it all looks fresh unlike other places. Lots of resting places for tired feet too. Many interactive experiences for the children. We took a picnic which we ate in the cafe area with no issues although on a sunny day lovely green at the front of the building to safely stand have a proper picnic. We spent to hours here but for those not familiar could def spend longer. Excellent family day out.

We went as a family as it was open on Easter Sunday and there was a hidden egg trail. We parked in the museum car park as it was empty and easier to park larger vehicles rather than park on the road. For £6.50 who can complain.

We spent a couple of hours at the museum. My daughter got bored which is understandable. Overall not a bad museum for a short wander around. We didn’t manage to go upstairs for long so I am unable to comment on the art gallery.
