One of the best I've been too, that includes around London. Amazing Victorian architecture (as with all buildings in the Cathays Park) with amazing displays, no matter what your interests are!

Took my grand-daughter to see the dinosaurs which are fantastic. Scary and noisy. The museum is child-friendly with a craft/colouring area and coffee shop and restaurant on site. The art collection is amazing, always worth a visit - preferably without a three year old in tow! I sneaked in to see the Queen's Collection but will go back to have a long, quiet browse on my own. Free entry is always welcome.
