Very warm, inviting and beautifully furnished cottage with great hosts. Despite the high volume of snow we had a really relaxing break with our two Cocker Spanials. Its great to find such a well furnished cottage that welcomes dogs. The Welsh Cakes and Bara Brith that Sue kindly gave us upon our arrival were delicious and gobbled up very quickly! We plan to return to these lovely cottages and explore this stunning part of Wales further. Highly recommended.
Just stayed for a long weekend in November. The weather was cold but the welcome was warm from Sue and Ioan, who were really friendly and greeted us with welsh cakes, fresh eggs and Bara Brith - what a treat! The cottage was beautiful, very well appointed and spotlessly clean. We loved the underfloor heating and log burner, so gorgeous to come in from a cold day out in the fresh air into the cosy warm cottage.
The location was really easy, just off the A5 near Betws-y-Coed. A real find close to all the attractions of Snowdonia.
We even tried the farm lamb which Sue slow cooked for us in her AGA - can't fault this place we can't wait to come back - would definitely recommend.
We had a lovely stay at Hafod Iwrch, it's a lovely quiet location but right in the heart of Snowdonia. We liked the fact that it was on a working farm too - we fed the pigs, had fresh eggs and enjoyed seeing Nel the sheepdog keeping an eye on everyone at the farm! The best thing is the fact that the accommodation was luxurious and also dog friendly, which is quite a rare combination. We will definitely stay here again next time we go to North Wales :-)
I can't recommend this wonderful holiday accommodation highly enough. The quality, scenery, attention to detail is second to none. Our hosts were so friendly and happy to give knowledgeable advice on many local destinations and attractions. We're hoping to go again next year.
