Just spent a wonderful week staying at the Glan Dulyn . Francis and Eifion met us when we arrived ,they were very welcoming and helpful . They have done a great job refurbishing a beautiful and well equipped cottage. It is in such an idyllic setting with the river running at the back of the garden where you can sit for hours watching the wildlife, such as heron catching fish , ducks , dippers and wagtails . We also saw jays , woodpeckers and squirrels visit the bird feeder . Betws-y-Coed is a beautiful village with lots of shops and eating places. We can recommend the Bistro and the Royal Oak , also the Chinese Restaurant is very good . Its an excellent base for visiting Snowdonia. Tip if you don't have a car the Sherpa bus is good value where you can purchase a day rider ticket for 5 pounds. We visited Llanberis where you get the train to the top of Snowdon . Also enjoyed Llandudno where you can take the cable car over the great Orme which has fantastic views . We can't wait until next year when we hope to return .

This property is newly renovated and refurbished to a very high standard. It is well stocked with new equipment and the internet is good. The garden is lovely and the riverside setting superb. We sat for hours by the river watching the ducks surfing down the rapids and the little birds darting around. There is also an enclosed seating area for the chillier times.
The owners were friendly and left a welcome pack which we appreciated. It is an easy walk into town. We have been travelling for more than three years and stayed in numerous self catering places and Glan Dulyn is the best. We wish them well with their new venture.
