we stayed for 3 nights, hoping to enjoy a pleasant break in the Welsh hills. The hills are still great, but te hotel needs attention.
Our room was in the Lodge, across the yard and up some steep wooden steps. The room itself was OK, but to get to it on the first floor landing you had to pass a sewer vent pipe, which ended just under the gutter (should be above it) and the stench was terrible.
Dinner in the restaurant on the first night was OK, but we drove into town for the other nights. Breakfast was also OK, but limited in choice, e.g. if you had fruit juice you could not have the hot food...(?)
TV reception is dreadful.More
