We were looking for a place for tea/coffee and a bite to eat, with a 20-month old (who needs constant attention!). Emmeline's was just gorgeous.. We had a table for 4 + high-chair and there's a children's area with baby/toddler toys and a couple of nice leather sofas acting as a border. Emmeline and her staff were friendly and attentive. Would definitely recommend!

Having taken pictures in to be framed at Martins in the Old Police Station we went next door. Lovely and clean. Welcoming hosts. Pea and mint soup was served with delicious bread. The toasted tea cake was accompanied by a generous amount of butter. The scrambled egg on toast was light and fluffy. What made it even nicer was the lovely crockery and huge pot of tea. The homemade cakes looked fantastic. Noticing that an afternoon tea could be booked we decided to save the cake for another day.

The access to this tearoom is up a very steep slope, which had my legs turning to jelly. The drinks and cake are both divine. This is not the cheapest Tearoom in Abergavenny but the quality of the cake and drinks makes it well worth the expense.

This is my new go to place for lunch in Abergavenny and I recommend Emmeline's to everyone. Lovely fresh homemade food, I always go for the soup and a slice of chocolate cake but the sandwiches are really good too with lovely fresh bread. The place has a nice feel to it, the service is always friendly. Families welcome - I cannot rate this place highly enough
