Just returned from relaxing break ,chalet was small but perfect for two and dog. Clean and tidy on arrival with every thing you need.
Beach was rocky and sand good to walk the dog.
On site club house had a place to sit outside with dog.
Place on site to sit in day to have coffee or ice cream.
bad point it did not open till 11.00 and shut early.
You need a car to go anywhere
Good point you can walk over mountain to Aberystwyth on other side there is a funicular railway to take you down in to Aberystwyth, but no good for people with mobility problems.

After a long drive it was nice to be met with a pleasant friendly check in. I think we had 1 of the oldest caravans on site but it did what it said on the tin (clean and tidy) the site is in a great location right by the beach. As we were pretty much out of season entertainment was minimal but still excellent. Plus we won the quiz 4 nights running. See you again next September

Just today got back from a 3 night break at Clarach bay holiday village. Having stayed here on and off for the last 20 years this was by far the most disappointing holiday so far. I hired a bronze caravan this time as it was only a short trip but wish I'd of paid the extra fora silver as caravan was about 10 years past it's sell by date. The inside plastic window sills were so brittle and broken they were extremely sharp and dangerous, a cupboard was broken and hanging off the hinges also door handles broken and to top it off the fire in the lounge didn't work which would have been handy to have as September nights go off rather cold and I have an 11 month old daughter I had to buy a electric heater as bronze caravans only have a fire and no extra heating. Also if you want any food there at night your better off taking your own rather than relying on the chippy it says on the door open til 7pm went down twice at 6.20 to be told their closed "brilliant" thankyou. As a site goes its quiet which is lovely but in desperate need of change and upgrading. Do yourself a favour and stay on the other site over the bridge much cleaner and caravans heads and tails above Clarach bay holiday village sites. A shame because it could be a lovely place just needs the money spending on it to update.

The site is fab for camping, lots to do on site, plus lovely walks around the area. The view from the campsite is brill, only thing about the site there needs to be allocated plots as we drove around looking for a pitch with electric hook up as tents were just pitched up any where. The toilets an showers need regular checks an cleans this is the only down side of this site, I'm sure if a water brush of some sort was left in showers people can then brush it away.

We have just arrived home from a fantastic holiday at clarach bay holiday village. From the minute we stepped into reception to collect our keys from the lovely Andy who is very polite and welcoming and couldn't do enough for us we knew it was going to be a good holiday. We stayed in a platinum caravan and it was immaculate with a lovely bottle of bubbly waiting for us on a arrival we stayed in the new development which was lovely and peaceful. The park it's self is well kept with lots of things to do for children of all ages with the funfair, play den and there is even a club for teenagers! There are a few eateries like the chip shop a restaurant that serves pasta, pizza etc, the burger bar is immaculate which sell a things from ice cream, pancakes burgers etc. In the evening the showboat club has excellent entertainment including kids entertainment which is either run by the wonderful Sean who excellent with the children and really keeps them entertained with the party dances and games or Barry who entertains the children with the pied piper magic show and other songs and games. The lovely Gwen keeps the children entertained by dancing with them on the dance floor. We would highly recommend the Disney show that is on in the week with the amazing Jem, Sean, Joy and Beth this is not to be missed. We have stayed at the park before but this time we had such an amazing time we booked our caravan for an extra two nights, we are so glad we did as we got to see the wrestling that was held in the showboat and also the wonderful festival that was held on the beach front which offed great music stalls. We were sad to leave clarach bay holiday village but can't wait to go next year!
