Very good quality meal at a reasonable price. The menu offers something different without being experimental. Great service too.

Visited The Beehive over the bank holiday weekend whilst the sun was shining. The pub has a great setting overlooking a cricket pitch. The front of the pub has patio doors which fold back giving you the feel of being outside, we were lucky to be sitting right by the doors. The service from start to finish was brilliant and each of the waiters really paid attention to us. The food was incredible as we tried the Octopus Start and the Parfiat which were both very tasty. The mains we tried the Roast Beef and the Vension which were cooked to perfect for each of us. The sides were plentiful so much so we couldn’t finish everything, I would say that you wouldn’t need to order on top of your mains.

Incredible food, fantastic service in a causal pub setting.

Thank David B

Beautifuly set resturant overlooking the cricket pitch. Staff were friendly and efficent. Love that the menu changes daily to maximise food quality. We had the octopus and garlic soup to start- both devine, then the mozzarella risotto and the fish and chips- delicious! £70 bill for 2 people having 2 courses and 1 glass of wine.

Had a good lunch at the Beehive last Thursday. Went with another couple who had recommended the restaurant. I ate asparagus as a starter, followed by the venison for the main course. My wife had the chicken pie for the main course. Our impression was that the food was good, well cooked and well presented, but the portions were on the small side. The wine selection was good and the local beer, (Guardsman) was excellent. Service was attentive. Cost-160 pounds -for 4 was fair.
