Been here a couple of times recently so decided to try the food before a show at the Blue & Orange theatre which is across the road. The Church has certainly been spruced up, its great to see it’s maintained its multi room layout. There’s a lovely roof top terrace too, and a restaurant at the back which doesn’t seem to be used often. This is a pity as one of my few criticisms here is that the pub tables can be a bit small when you’ve got a couple of big pizzas on them. We booked online through open table, there are 2 menus one exclusively for pizza, the other has “soul food” stuff like ribs. We both settled for pizza, Deb for a “godfather” it was interesting with added oregano. My pizza was a more of a meat feast. Both were of a good size, tasty and had a nice thin crust. There are 2 handpulls serving ale from Everards (in reasonable condition) and 2 cask ciders. Other beverages are available, we didn’t try the cocktails. At £22 for 2 pizzas and pints this is an excellent value meal out. The church is a good pub with a pleasing mixed clientele and nice efficient staff, well worth a visit if your on the edge of the Jewellery quarter.

We popped in for a quick drink whilst exploring Birmingham. Didn’t intend to eat, however the pizza menu was too tempting not to. We were absolutely right to order. The pizza was exceptional, service was quick and the staff very helpful and friendly. Definitely recommend a trip.

Nice cozy place, the service is good and the pizza is quickly on the table !
Pizza is well cocked , crusty outside and soft inside, Ingredients are fresh , all this make the pizza very light. The Pizza menu is full of interesting combinations (that they change every once in a while).
Prices are low and fair for me can't find faults with this place.

We visited on a late summer evening as a group for drinks and spent around half an hour at the front bar only to discover, upon venturing to find the toilets, that The Church is in fact a large spacious building, incredibly well decorated in a tasteful modern style with a large pizzeria/diner at it's heart, a traditional pub to the front, a snug and a great roof terrace. Que us spending the next couple of hours there.

We decided to order food (pizzas) that were fantastic and realistically priced and authentically made in their own wood fired stone oven. The pizza menu was traditional with a modern twist and featured a unique range of home-made sauces to compliment.

We rounded off our visit with drinks on the roof terrace and left incredibly impressed. The Church seems to suit all ages and for all visitor types. I'd consider it suitable for corporate meals, couples, families and social. I wouldn't often go out on a limb to gush about a pub but we'd visited Birmingham for the weekend as a small group and our visit was all the better for visiting here. If The Church was our local, I'd confidently say I would be a regular visitor.

Overall 9.9/10 and definitely up there with one of the best pubs I've been to in a long while.
