Hi Bogfog,

Thanks for bringing this to our attention & apologies on this.

The bread I don't believe is stale as its brought in fresh every day. What is happening is that after the sandwiches are made, they are being put under the heat lamps & usually on Saturday with a busy lunch service, appears they may be left too long, causing the bread to crisp slightly.

Having said that, we'd have been more than happy to have exchanged any dissatisfactory meals/food or offered you something else.

Again sorry about this & we have passed this onto the ktichen team & this will be rectified.

Thanks again

Great Sunday roast, great choice of beer- maybe slightly overpriced for a pub location but worth a visit.

A classic 'tardis' pub, it doesn't look very big from the outside but once you go in it keeps going and going. The room at the back is massive and ideal for watching the football on the big screens. Gets very busy though and really hot in the other rooms. Good beers on but quite pricey, I had a few nice bottles of Vedett.

Afternoon deanothebaggie,

Thank you for your recent visit & review!
Like the description of a 'classic tardis pub'!

Happy to read your feedback on the pub, amount of screens we have available for sport, our sheltered beer garden space & the beers we sell.

We hope you'll visit us again soon.
Kindest regards
