This cosy restaurant on Hagley Rd serves very tasty Persian cuisine. The portions are very generous but fear not they will give you a doggy bag for your leftovers we had 3 starters to share between 4 (hummus was possibly the best I’ve ever tried!) and a variety of grilled meats for mains, which were all juicy and fragrantly spiced!

The way this place looked was so cute and cosy, it had a really nice aesthetic. The food tasted really good, great portion sizes. It was nice that there was naan under the chosen meat even if you got rice. The staff were very kind and polite, The only downside is that the place it self is very small. If you haven’t been to this place I highly recommend it.

I had a takeaway from Colbeh and I found the food (Kashke Bademjan, Halim Bademjan and Colbeh Special) to be extremely tasty with very generous portion sizes. I had the salad side with the main and this was better quality than your average takeaway salad. The takeaway came with complimentary flatbread and in total this selection would make two main meals (for an average appetite) - especially if you had chips or rice with the main rather than salad.

Only a small restaurant which was pretty fully booked on the night that we went and I doubt that you would get a table on the off chance unless you went later in the evening.
We were welcomed warmly and had a booth to ourselves. Starters were hummus and some very nice meatballs and then we had chicken skewers and lamb served with pomegranate and walnuts. Meat quality was excellent and my only slight issue was the portion size which was large- both meals came with saffron rice which was delicately flavoured but next time, we’d probably opt for a salad as we just couldn’t do the meal full justice. We both had a pudding which were smaller portion sizes- I had the saffron and pistachio ice cream which was lovely.
Service was good although a little rushed at times. My partners meal was cleared while I was still eating which wasn’t good.
We’d like to go back to try some of the other dishes- the stew sounded particularly interesting.

The food was decent but the portions are a bit small. They're open for lunch which is good but a bit on the pricey side.
