One night stay, clean comfortable, staff friendly & helpful. Central location in old part of town. Restaurant good, especially breakfast. Although check in time is quite late 16.00 although staff tried to be accommodating.

Me and my partner decided to attend the restaurant after seeing the valentines set menu, was really looking forward to it until it started to come out! Drinks took a good 20 minutes to arrive after being ordered! Starters were minimal we ordered scallops only two were placed on the plate.. we ordered the seafood platter for two (£25) surplus was stated on the menu that it states you get hot and cold oysters, lobster, crevettes, king prawn squid (non of which we got) when spoke to the gentleman that was serving us he didn’t
Know what to do or say about the missing items! We was supposed to get 4 courses for £39.95 each + £25 surplus + bottle of wine £30! We was offered no alternative and no reduction in the price.. we only stayed for the two courses as we were appalled by the poor service and knowledge from staff!!!

We will never be attending the restaurant again! They well an Truly ruined our valentines meal!!!!

Avoid like the plague

Wonderful night at the Loch Flyne, bar staff welcomed us, table in a good position, there was ten of us, we ordered in advance, excellent meal, from the fish to the beef burger, staff were very efficient, very helpful with our vegetarian friend, as usual we were the last to leave, never felt under pressure to go, would recommend a visit, catered well for a group

This was our fourth visit to Loch Fyne in the past six months and I must admit there seems to be a dip in the general service. We booked for two nights and found ourselves at the front of the hotel overlooking the main road. This proved to be extremely noisy, but nothing double glazing wouldn’t solve. The room was compact and looked tired. The lights in the en suite were on a timer, which proved rather inconvenient when bathing. The reception area seemed rarely manned, and one had to go looking for the duty manager. That said, there is a homeliness about the hotel and the restaurant remains the jewel in the crown. The food is first class and the restaurant staff are warm, convivial and thoroughly professional.

Beautiful building. We arrived early , there were no reception staff but the Duty Manager checked us in. Told us where to park and breakfast times. The room was large and pleasant. The skirting boards were so dusty, and the bottom of the toilet pan was covered in hairs. The water was so hot it was dangerous, and the 2nd radiator in our room did not work. Despite this we had a lovely evening although the fire alarm activation at 12.30am woke us. We would have dined in the restaurant, but were not offered a table at check in so went to the pub across the road. A very pleasant check out, but the receptionist did not enquire if we had a good stay

Room Tip: Rooms can be noisy when guests walk past as the corridors are very slim
