Stayed for a cheap getaway for the weekend in Newcastle and this hotel had everything we needed!

Great Modern Interior
Super friendly staff!
Comfiest bed ever❤️ We upgraded to a Queen sized bed and was Sooo worth it!
Pretty small but super cosy room- everything we needed- and the wifi even worked in room!
Lovely bar area for some drinks before we headed out
Great central location
Great price

First time staying here- and in Newcastle, and i 10/10 absolutely would stay here again. Thanks for a lovely weekend

The hotel location is very central and has lots of nice bars and restaurants on its door step. The hotel check in area and bar area has a nice and cosy feel about it.
On check we where expecting the room to be cheaper due to the VAT reduction, however the hotel stated they had merely increased their prices to accommodate this. We then asked for a room upgrade and was told this would cost an additional £10. Bit mean, considering the hotel was empty and they had already gained on the VAT so we never bothered.
The room we got was small and basic, the air conditioning did not work and the TV didn’t work properly. Had a poor nights sleep due to having to have the window open and lots of noise from people outside the hotel chanting and singing.
On check out the receptionist didn’t even ask if we had enjoyed our stay, which says to me their not really bothered.
This was our first stay in a Motel One and considering the above I don’t feel it provides value for money, so unfortunately we wouldn’t recommend it or stay their again.

I checked in on the first day of when the hotels opened. They where happy to check me in even though it was a couple of hours before normal check in was. The staff here are amazing and friendly, they always around so if you need anything they are happy to help. The room i had was small but they do have bigger rooms but for what you pay or what I paid was definitely worth it. Even though I live in Newcastle I'll with out a doubt will be back even if it's just for a coffee.

Thank you to all the staff members for what you have done.

My wife and I were looking for a hotel near the theatre, shops and restaurants and this place fitted the bill in all respects.
It is located up a very sleepy wee lane just a short walk from the Theatre Royal where we were booked to see a production.
The staff were warm, friendly and very welcoming and our room was ready way ahead of when we had expected so we had time to visit the shops and return to get changed before we headed off to have dinner nearby before the Theatre. We had a very good value glass of champagne in their trendy yet cosy and comfortable bar area before we headed out.
We didn’t do breakfast in the morning but as we passed it on our way out in the morning, we wished that we had as it looked very pleasing indeed........next time.
A great value place to stay overnight and the room was very comfortable and well equipped.

If i could give this hotel 100 stars it would be more than worth it!! The staff are amazing very friendly and guided us by phone to the hotel as we was a little lost nothing was too much. The room was immaculate bathroom exceptionally clean and the bed.... this was even better than my own bed at home, we was away for the night and having 3 children back home this is what i was hoping for the most and it was the best nights sleep ever!! I even purchased some of the hair and body wash which was in our bathroom from reception as this was also amazing and the smell was lovely hoping they are able to post some more if not its going to have to be another night away :) Barman pointed us in the right direction for a good night (which was brilliant, and the bar area was also stunning an so clean! Big thank you for making our stay as great as it was we most certainly will be back in the near future!! Rachael xx
