We booked this room with wrap around balcony. The room was lovely fabulous shower. Bed was enormous and very comfy. Flat screen tv and furnitute were lovely. Fridge would not close properly so contents including champagne were warm. Bird droppings were all over the balcony including glass partition.I wrote my name in the dust around the plant in the bathroom. Also a large slither of glass was on the floor. I reported this to reception but it was not rectified. Our fridge was not restocked on the last day so no water for coffee. Hand sanitiser dispensers had run out next to lift. We paid a lot of money but were quite disapointed overall. Probably wouldnt stay again.

This hotel is centrally located and very convenient for the city centre and central train station. There are lots of nearby restaurants and bars which again makes this prime location.

Check in was simple and efficient and the desk staff were upbeat and friendly.

On initial glance the room looked OK, if not a bit dated and in need of a freshen up.

There were a few niggles with the room however. First was the air con unit not working. We were having unseasonably warm weather so it was always going to be warm but the temperature in the room was intense. We open end the window but the room is located above the loading bay so we were woken at 6am by deliveries. When this was reported we were told a maintenance man had attended and resolved this, however the heat was no less oppressive. Rather than being moved room we were given a fan, which did partially help.

The other issue was the bed. This was a king room but appeared to be 2 divan beds pushed together. As they were on casters the beds moved about and squeezed. There was also a dip in the middle of the bed which meant that we rolled into the middle.

Overall with the heat and the condition of the bed it was the best of sleep both nights.

Cleanliness in the rooms was spectacular, with hairs all over the consol table in the room

Breakfast is served in the Marco Pierre white restaurant, with Covid there was a limited range but it tasted nice and the service was food

Room tip: Car parking available under the hotel- say at reception and pay there

Great check in. Clean, spacious room with good tea/coffee options. Only shower in room but not an issue for me, decent water pressure. Bed very high but great sleep- mattress firm but with soft top layer which I loved.

Good breakfast with reasonable range and choice. Good service- staff genuinely seem to want to do things for people from more coffee to chatting to guests.

Also had dinner in MPW and again great service and nice to just take lift to bed afterwards.

Location was very good- close to station but not noisy.

Hotel Indigo Newcastle - Never fails
Quick check in - Room immaculate.

Dinner in MPW was very good and the service spot on.
Trina in the restaurant who has been there a very long time, is an absolute star.

Good breakfast before departure.
As usual, a great experience which is why we keep returning.
