By far the best Malmaison branch I have been to so far.
Friendly staff. Comfy rooms (albeit it a bit dark at times) but with great views of the river.
I cannot wait to return.

I visited this hotel with my wife in October,we stayed for one night with the date night package and we throughly enjoyed our stay,the service was absolutely fantastic and especially from rhys who was excellent

The staff at Newcastle Malmaison made sure our wedding day and night went perfectly.
We really enjoyed our (much needed) breakfast, Tirso made sure we had everything we needed to recover from the night before.

My wife and I stayed here for one night last week, the room was clean and had a good view across the river and the millennium bridge. We had one the best check-ins by David who was very informative of the hotel amenities and the surrounding area, offering to organize a taxi to take us into town. Breakfast was very good, we were served by Tirso who was extremely professional and very attentive and made breakfast a nice experience. They should both be commended on their professionalism.

Having stayed at other Malmaison hotels I was expecting a very high standard. I was somewhat disappointed. On entering the reception area it was not easy to find the desk as it was so dark inside.
Our room was comfortable and looked out over the Millennium Bridge and the Tyne which was very interesting. However, the decor was all black and grey which didn't really appeal to me. The bed was huge and very comfortable. Our package gave us an evening meal as well as breakfasts. The food was very good but there was a really limited menu especially as I am vegetarian..
Breakfast was a bit of a nightmare. All the buffet was still there but served individually by one member of staff. This led to enormous queues. Throughout the hotel there did not seem to be enough staff. We are both disabled but there was no help with luggage.
We enjoyed Newcastle. I never realised that it still had some city walls and our walk along the history trail was very enjoyable. The shopping in Newcastle is also excellent

We have been forced to change how we operate due to local restrictions, in particular the breakfast service all must be served direct to the table which can be time consuming at times.
I'm sorry that this wasn't as speedy as you would have like but it would be great if we were able to welcome you back again when some of these restrictions have been lifted.
