Amazing staff made my stay really enjoyable. Many thanks to Heidi, Sharon and the lady who made the breakfast. Sausage and bacon sandwich was great. Room was exceptionally clean and comfortable. About 15 mins walk to the city centre. Lots of places to eat and drink nearby.

My Wife & I have just had a great long weekend at this hotel. I can tell looking at some reviews from years ago that there have been some changes over time. This is a great little hotel and is very clean, obviously during difficult times. (There is plenty of hand sanitizer around) Understandably things have been adapted ( like the breakfast) but we had no complaints at all. The sausage sandwiches were excellent and we even got an extra one on the last morning, plus a late checkout. All the staff were superb. Heidi, the housekeeper, the night porter and the manager were all 1st class and couldnt be more helpful. Even in the difficult night when the " clowns" were letting the fire alarms off, the night porter handled things very well. The only negative is that our mattress in room 10 wasn't great so i would ask if you could replace that if possible for next time we stay. We would definitely stay here again and cant wait to sit down for breakfast when things get to normal.

Stayed 4 nights with two rooms between us. Really lovely staff - Jo/ Kiran/ Heidi. Happy to help and made us feel welcome. The rooms were spotless and showers hot. Beds comfy. Well prepared for Covid rules- we were not sure how our first stay away from home would be but the communal areas had sanitiser everywhere and a one way system in place. We had a takeaway breakfast in a bag - limited choice obviously , but did the job of setting us up for the day. Would definitely say this is a good value choice for city centre access and coast route. Shops / bars etc minutes away. I would check out the Osborne first in future if I needed a hotel ( usually stay with family if visiting in ‘normal’ times). The lovely staff made our trip though.
