We’ve stayed here often, when it was a Marriott. There don’t seem to be many changes now it’s no longer part of this chain. The staff are wonderful and I’m so glad so many of them have stayed with the new owners.
For us visiting family this hotel is in a fab location, the rooms are large and very clean. We had a bathroom with a shower over the bath so suits everyone.
Food is very good in the restaurant although the prices have definitely gone up, I do think £33 for a bottle of Tempranillo is overpriced. Our bill for one course with two glasses of wine was nearly £60, that’s more than it was worth.
Breakfast buffet is good with a massive choice, although on the first morning a lot of the cooked was fairly cold, we noticed on morning two there were lids covering the food and that def made a difference.
Only real negative was our hospitality tray was not topped up at all for day two so we had no teabags, no milk and had to ask for it at reception.
Great hotel tho and we’ll def be backMore
