Had a one night stay arrived Sunday and home Monday the 21st May. This is a very old property previously a nursing home which has been converted to a Spa and Hotel. I would have given a five star rating if it was not for the fact the dining area looked so very very tired with leather chairs in need of urgent recovering. The Spa and swimming pool area made up for this and was 1st class. The staff were absolutely excellent their good nature and sense of humour was outstanding. At 67 years of age and many miles and places under my belt I doubt whether the company management recognise the excellent workforce they have at this establishment. The reception staff could not be more pleasant and the Lithuanian bar/restaurant manager clearly learning our English sense of humour.
The young lady who lost the toss to give me my massage was also excellent and it was certainly one of the best massage sessions I have ever experienced and relaxed and invigorated my ageing frame!

Room Tip: This spa hotel only has 13 rooms I can only say ours was perfect large bed etc

Spa day with sisters. Great facilities in an old building with panache. Lunch in the restaurant was great - not huge menu but during a spa day you don't need much fuel!
The spa rooms are lovely, great pool and steam room. Gym is there too if you're feeling energetic!

Went for Swedish back and neck massage with , I think her name was Gini, the entire experience was over in approximately 15 minutes. Having asked not to get oil on my hair (recent hairdo), I came out with oily hair necessitating another hairdo.
Massage was quite nice but felt very short changed. Will I go again? No
Had a lovely sandwich after with a lovely waiter called Josh. Food good. Spa not.

Dear Guest

Jinnie was disappointed to read your review, she tried not to get oil onto your hair - as you can appreciate it can be difficult to avoid the bottom of the hairline with a massage. Im so happy you had a great experience in the restaurant, Josh was over the moon.

Thanks

We visited the spa on a Sunday and whilst it was busy, we were attended to promptly and efficiently.
We were taken to the restaurant and our day was explained to us and then we were shown around the facilities.
I would have liked a complimentary tea or coffee but was told that this wasn't included and would have to be paid for.
That was fine but for a few pence it costs for tea/coffee, this would have been a nice touch.

Our day was wonderful.
The treatments were lovely. Albeit a little short !! We had three treatments. each lasting just 15 mins.

We used the pool, Jacuzzi and steam room.
After a very filling lunch we took to the relaxation room and had a afternoon siesta!!

The staff were very pleasant and management asked us for our feedback after our day. We have booked another return spa day and look forward to another relaxing day !!

The only slight criticism was the lack of refreshments during the day. Lunch didn't included a drink and as I said before, morning tea/coffee would have been nice too.
