My mother, sister and I had the most wonderful couple of days stay at the Wentworth in the middle of August. We went there to celebrate and commemorate our father who had died in mid July as it was a place where they had stayed several times before and had very happy fond memories of. It had been a few years since they last visited - but Mum said it was even better than she remembered as it had been refurbished and updated since her last visit. It was marvellous - a wonderfully traditional hotel with modern twists. The small suite we stayed in was perfect for the 3 of us (there was a fold up bed in the lounge) - modern, spotlessly clean with a beautiful view of the sea. I could not fault it. The meals we had there were lovely. We were initially seated on an internal table in the dining room but we asked if we could have a table with a view of the sea at the next meal the staff happily obliged. The hotel is in the perfect location to explore the wonderful Suffolk countryside so we spent a lovely couple of days exploring childhood haunts and reliving and remembering very happy times in Suffolk. It was a very special holiday and a very special time at a very special hotel - and one that we all look back on with love. I hope...More
