We the family returned to Brindley Lock after a bad experience we had there sometime ago but we had a much better meal this time. My son's curry was really good the chief made it just right. The service also was very good so thank you Brindley Lock for looking after us everyone deserves another chance.

Food was nice, they have a good £6 'smaller' menu but was decent sized.

The kids meals are pretty big around the same size as the smaller adults.

We arrived at 5pm and the restaurant was very quiet. We hadn't booked a table and as so quiet could choose to sit anywhere. We chose to sit in the upper area in what feels like a conservatory. We ordered drinks at the bar and was told these would be added to our tab. The young waitress brought the drinks to our table and then went to get menu's for us. we ordered 3 starters and 3 mains. Ordering was easy and straightforward. The starters arrived and were very nice. The mains came out and were again very nice. Roast dinner had a small portion of veg but, as I had already had a starter was ample. Not sure would have been enough if no starter but think you can ask for more veg if you want to. Steak was ordered and we were asked how we would like this cooked. Asked for medium but was definately overdone and a little dry. We also ordered another round of drinks. During the meal we noticed the background music was playing the same song on repeat. 8 times in total ! Bar staff didn't seem to notice this and when we mentioned it, we were told it was on a tab ??!! The one thing to spoil the visit was the families in the bar area letting their Children run around the pub and wander over to us jumping around. Why do people allow this to happen ? The surroundings are a little shabby and could do with a spruce up. On driving on to the car park, we saw several smokers on the doorstep which was off putting. All in all, the food was nice but the whole place needs some updating and a good clean. Will not be in a rush to return any time soon.
