Stayed in Premier Inn during a business trip in early March and the experience was very good. The hotel is spotless and the staff very helpful.
Room was decorated nicely, it was very clean and bathroom was spotless. Did not mind the closed windows, as the temperature in the room was good and the air conditioning system was adequate. Had a very good night’s sleep, no noise whatsoever from the street or the hotel and the bed was excellent, very comfy. Some connectivity problems with the wi-fi in the room, as the connection would get lost from time to time, but no big issue. Only drawback is the lack of phone in room, as we were a big group and if you wanted to contact someone you had to use your cell or go out of the room and knock on the door.
Hotel has also a very nice restaurant, with a wide choice of courses and some excellent desserts. We had dinner there twice, both times the food was excellent, very well cooked and tasty. They also have this meal deal, which includes breakfast and a 2 course dinner for 24 pounds. Breakfast was very nice, freshly cooked eggs in all kind of ways and a wide variety of pastries, jams and fruits.
The hotel is ideally situated close to the city center. We had a few hours free to walk around and the city is charming, with many little restaurants and pubs, close enough to the hotel.
Overall, it was a very nice experience and I would definitely return to this hotel.

Booked last minute and had to pay more than usual but we did have a comfortable stay as normal. The only problem was the first room offered did have a loud buzzing sound that would have affected sleep quality - don't think we are super noise sensitive!!

Hotel is well situated and paying for parking behind the hotel was not a problem as access was easy and cost was good. Stayed for three nights so requested 3rd floor, quiet corridor (Room 301) which was excellent as did not suffer noise from other residents despite being bank holiday weekend. However, this room was front facing and the noise from the traffic was noisy - especially the Sunday evening. There are some amazing restaurants within walking distance and the walks/shopping and Cathedral well worth it.
