Excellent location, and just a short walk from the centre of wells.
It's the only inn that has a free carpark for a limited amount of cars.
The staff are very friendly and helpful. the rooms are very nice too with
a ensuite shower room. we also had a very nice breakfast while we stayed here.

We have eaten at the Sherston many times over the years, but our last visit was very disappointing.
We went for a family meal and I ordered lasagne, my husband fish and chips.
Very slow service and when, eventually the food arrived the lasagne had obviously been microwaved. The fish was so overcooked it was brown so we sent it back. The replacement was just as bad.In the end my husband did not have a meal.
After complaining, the price of the fish and chips - a very steep £13.50 - was deducted from the overall bill.
Unfortunately we probably won't eat there again unless it changes hands.

Seems to have changed management. Went in for a Sunday roast (served 12-4), delicious meat, gravy, yorkshires, and potatoes (lots of them!). Nice veg but would have liked more of it and perhaps some carrots. All in all very nice.

Looks like it's under new management. Unfortunately the food was not great. The fried food (fish and Brie) was not the best. Looked like the oil was too hot as the outside was over done and the fish was under cooked on the inside. The lasagna was more cheese than meat and pasta. Pork was over cooked.

Over all not good.
