My Mum and I stayed in the Holy Thorn Room for one night.
Everything is so clean, the bed and pillows super comfy, the bathroom lovely (nice big bath), breakfast was fabulous, kitchen has all you need to cook and the outside space was a delight, and it's all a very short walk from Glastonbury high street.

The hosts are so friendly and welcoming. If you stay here you're sure to have a peaceful experience. I'd highly recommend and stay again, again and again.

Yet another great stay at Chestnuts. This B&B is top class and really has to be the best place to stay in Glastonbury. Everything was perfect for us, from the great location, good parking, beautifully presented room and stylish bathroom (both ultra clean), fabulous breakfast, and delightful owners. Just can’t fault this place. We left feeling refreshed and blissed out, and looking forward to our next stay already!

Having decided we would like to visit Glastonbury for a mini holiday, the question was where to stay. Tripadvisor reviewers came up trumps again. Chestnuts B&B was perfect, from the lovely hosts to the ideal location. Situated about a 5 minute walk to the High Street and 10 to 15 minutes to the Abbey. The B&B was immaculate, we stayed in the Garden Room which was lovely, very good choice of breakfasts. Just a perfect 3 night stay.

My husband and I stayed at the Chestnuts for a few days during our recent visit to Glastonbury. We had stayed there some years ago and it was lovely then, but the new owners have raised the bar to a whole new level. The place has been completely renovated to a high standard and the rooms are gorgeous. We stayed in the Garden Room, which has a large, very comfortable bed and a state of the art en-suite. The rain shower was wonderful after our transatlantic plane trip and then the drive from Heathrow. The Garden Room, as you would expect, has a lovely view of the garden and patio doors that open onto a stone terrace with café tables and chairs. The room itself is spacious, bright and airy with plenty of storage. The room has central heating (radiators) but in summer you will need to ask for this to be turned on if you are cold. Flat screen TV that can be watched from the bed. A lovely two-seater sofa. Decor is all up to the minute and stylish, crisp and clean. The room has a kettle and coffee, tea etc. provided. There is also a kitchen for guest use, with fridge, stove, microwave, etc.

Then we come to breakfast: served in the attached sun room/conservatory, which is brand new, Pearl and Duncan provide a continental breakfast like no other. Fresh, organic, local produce, cereals, granola, yogurts, assorted cheeses and fresh fruit, warm croissants, fresh bread from the local artisan bakery, muffins and danishes, local honey and jams/marmalades ... and if all that wasn't enough, Pearl and Duncan will happily cook eggs and bacon if you request it. Fresh brewed coffee and tea, decafs and herbal teas available, and milk alternatives for those who require them.

A few more things: parking is available right at the house. It's a bit of a steep driveway, but not too bad in context of the rest of the town. Bove Town is about a ten minute, easy walk (downhill) to the high street, and of course you will have the uphill walk back, but we did it several times a day with no problem. Once you've parked your car at Chestnuts you can pretty much walk all around Glastonbury, no need to hassle with car parks and parking fees. And yes, walking distance from the Tor, the Abbey, the Wells, and the funky high street shops. But once you get back to the B&B, you can enjoy the peaceful, quiet location, and the stunning views over the Somerset Levels.

In short, I cannot recommend Chestnuts enough. Pearl and Duncan are the most gracious hosts anyone could ever want. Nothing is too much trouble, and they make you feel welcome right from the start. Absolutely stellar in every way.

Room Tip: Garden Room for beautiful views & patio doors to the garden terrace

My sister and I stayed in the Garden Room, sadly only for one night but had a wonderful experience. The room was beautifully furnished with and equipped, with en-suite, access to a kitchen and beautiful garden. Set in a very quiet area with lovely views. Pearls and Duncan were friendly, considerate hosts who made us very welcome and provided us with a magnificent breakfast with lots of local ingredients. Would not hesitate to recommend a stay here and we'd love to return.
