I'm not sure what some of the reviewers on here thought they were booking, but this is an ancient building. It's been used as a lodging of various kinds (including for visitors to see the Abbot at nearby Glastonbury Abbey) since the 1400s. It still has many of its original features. Guys - this isn't 'tired' it's history! Not only that, we got a double room with four-poster bed, including breakfast, and change out of £90. What do people expect? It's genuine. It's real. Not a plastic replica. You have to accept that there will be a few creaks, uneven floors. It's lovely, and atmospheric and romantic. The only complaint I could possibly make is that the restaurant was slightly haphazard. We were planning to eat in, but a promised menu ("Chef's still writing it") took so long to turn up that we decided to go find somewhere else.More
