We shared six fresh oysters and both had the fish of the day: whole perfectly grilled lemon sole with fries, green salad and green beans accompanied by a nice bottle of Entre Deux Meres. Dessert was creme caramel and treacle tart followed by coffees. Service was quick, friendly and attentive. Overall a perfect evening out.

The hotel is close to Bath downtown, the pros include great food, Breakfast and the seafood restaurant is great in terms of quality and the prices are ok.
There is no lift so try to get a room on the 1st floor.
Overall I find this hotel very convenient for short visits up to 1 week to the city of Bath.

The Aberdeen Steak House of fish restaurants.
Tepid, insipid and portion controlled within an inch of its life.
And the company snaffles the service charge giving the overworked (and charming) staff 'a percentage'.

I've been there with a friend as a walk in , was quite busy what I didn't expect from Wednesday evening, staff seemed in rush. We been served by lovely waitress and one of the managers who looked a bit lost . Couple of mistakes and missing communication between kitchen and floor, we ordered hot shellfish platter with lobster after 5 minutes we been told that they sold last lobster already so we asked for crab but after another 5 minutes we found out is no more crab so we decided to have more mussels instead of crab or lobster . When our platter arrived we found out that our clams are missing we said to the manager about that and he brought missing clams asap . Even if we had couple of issues I will definitely come back there , food is very fresh and just delicious . At the end of our dinner the manager offered us a complimentary discount on whole bill.
