Stopped for a light bite and pint on Monday lunchtime. Staff friendly, beer and food good. We had the Welsh rarebit which was really tasty. This is very much a pub pub it is a bit scruffy round the edges but is not in the least pretentious and suited us.

Wondering past this pub noticed the John Smith sign. Needless to say we swung in.
A good old fashioned traditional pub. Nice welcome. As we had already eaten we didn't eat but the food coming out looked great. There was only one toilet which was for both men and women which was clean. Don't let the view through the window put you off going in.
The decor is a little tired but this shouldn't stop you enjoying the beer if the locals us it, it must be good.
We wish there was a pub like this where we live. Will visit again if in Bath.

Chose local real ale and was well kept during afternoon visit.
Locals and visitors appear to frequent this place and there was a good atmosphere. Did not eat but others were and it looked good. Convenient location for city centre and easy to locate.

We came across this pub on an cold rainy night in bath, we decided to pop in and it was packed with the rugby fans in Town, order 2 drinks n stood by the fire until seats available, but the bad news was there only 1 toilet in which men and ladies are using. Small and compact pub

This is the most gorgeous pub. Great host. Food was fantastic. The best fish and chips I've ever had. Situated in a great position.
